(WGTD)---Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley said Friday night that a decision on whether to criminally charge the Kenosha police officer who shot Jacob Blake is not imminent.
Graveley issued a news release to squash an online social media rumor that he would make an announcement on Monday. "This rumor is purely false," he said.
The matter still lies in the hands of a former Madison police chief who's acting as a consultant in the case.
Graveley also took the opportunity to reiterate that he hasn't prejudged the case. "“I would like to assure the public that no predeterminations have been made about how my office will act on this case, other than that we will await the results of a full investigation and we will take all of the facts into account as we reach a decision, whenever that may be."
