Tea Price, Former WGTD Intern published in "USA Today

We knew her when! 23-year-old Tea Price, who interned with WGTD News a few summers back, graduated in May from the prestigious Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Media at the University of Arizona. Prior to graduation she applied for and was awarded the Pulliam Fellowship at the Arizona Republic newspaper in Phoenix. She became the newspaper's first editorial intern in 10 years. 

She wrote her first column for the Arizona Republic on June 7th addressing how the media sensationalizes celebrity suicides. It was immediately picked up by and appeared on the front page of USA Today. 

THe Pulliam Fellowship is a paid 10-week professional development fellowship that provides rigorous real-world work experience. The program is designed for recent college graduates who have significat digitial, data, visual or long-form skills or experience. The fellowship program molds journalism students into strong reporters, and participants of the program jumpstart their careers through this long-standing fellowship. Many alumni went on to become publishers, Pulitzer Prize winners or leaders in the industry, most notable being current Editor-in-Chief of BuzzFeed Ben Smith. 

Tea's mother, Diana Iorio, is a well-known and highly respected violing teacher in Kenosha.
