One Injured by Gunshot in a Friday Night Brawl at a Kenosha Tavern

(Updated 11-19 to correct the name of the bar)

Kenosha---One person suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and several others sustained minor injuries in a Friday night brawl at a crowded bar at closing time.

The fight broke out during a birthday party at the Rain Bar located at 30th Ave. and Roosevelt Rd.

Police said the fight started inside the bar then spilled outside.

That's apparently where the victim was struck by gunfire. A couple of cars in a nearby parking lot were struck as well.

No arrests have been made, other than the driver of a vehicle that hit a squad car. The squad  had been blocking the road. The driver allegedly was drunk.

Several injuries occurred when patrons scrambled to flee the scene.

30th Ave. was closed for several hours as police investigated the scene and held witnesses for questioning both inside and outside of the bar.

About eight years ago, a Kenosha Unified teacher died following a fight outside of the bar when it went by the name of "Big Shotz." Colin Byars was knocked off his feet by a punch and then struck his head on pavement.
